What Other Brands Make Woman’s Specific Bikes?
I'm looking for some road bikes to try, I just need some more brand names- I've been told that I'll be better of with a woman's specific bike and need a 52cm - 54cm frame. I've looked at bikes by Giant, Cannondale, Scott, Specialized, and Trek (I don't like the Treks much though). Any other brands that make woman's specific bikes?
Thanks!
The fitter (who charges $200 for a complete fitting) at a bike shop I go to told me that I'd be better off with a woman's specific bike (I'm tall, but still have a fairly upper body) after taking some measurements, watching me ride some bikes, etc.
Oh, I've seen the Felt bikes, but the largest woman's size is "tall" which is a 50cm, so that wont work. . .
The $200 fitting is a complete fitting for people who have road bikes / race. When you get a bike from that shop, you get the $200 fitting for free as long as you own the bike (so it's like an $800 value).

Felt. I have a TK2, and know several people that own their road bikes.
Bianchi also has a line.

Locally, Rocky Mountain had some nice bikes at reasonable pricing.

Terry Bikes.
Just about the inventor of bicycles designed for women.
Excellent saddles with a guaranteed comfort warranty. Keep exchanging saddles until you find the right one for YOU.
Rodriguez Bicycles on the west coast would be another excellent choice. I like the entire package they can put together to allow a rider to be comfortable. They spec their bikes with sensible gearing, higher handlebars, and at a reasonable price for a semi-custom bicycle. If I buy a new bike, this is one of the places on my list to look at.

Who told you that you’d be better off with a WSD? Depending on your body proportions and the particular bike’s geometry, that’s not even close to always true.
Check Jamis & KHS. Don’t know what your budget is, but it’s worth checking other mfrs, too, such as Orbea, Cervelo, etc.

Marinoni makes frames to each rider specific dimension. Guru, kona. charges 200. 00 doesn’t expect your business. i’ve never run across a shop up here that charges for the fitting. i never did. is this 200. 00 refundable or transferable on the purchase of a bike from that shop? is the question i’d ask them.
