Specialized Allez frameset for $400. Good deal? And how much would it cost to get the bike ride-able?

If you know of any good, relatively cheap road bikes that can hold up to long rides and good climbs, advice is welcome. Thanks
Frameset only used for one 20km road ride.
Sellers description: "It's flawless. Not a scratch on it. Aluminum w/ carbon rear triangle, carbon dropouts. The frameset includes the frame, fork, headset. I will also throw in a virtually new: Ritchey Pro WCS bars (OS 44cm), stem (120mm), and seatpost. "

  1. hard to say without seeing what type of shape it is in and the year. I bought a really great Mt. Bike frame a couple of years back (thinking i could just transfer the parts from my old bike over) but then ended up spending a ton of money on the components because they weren’t compatible. It would have been cheaper to buy myself a complete bike at that point.

  2. You have no idea what you you need. Go to your local bike shop and look at some road bikes. You will be much better off buying a complete bike then starting out with a frame that may not fit.
